  Hummingbird Soapstone/Star Sleigh Entreprises in Glen Ellyn, IL has been a huge disappointment to deal with. We greatly anticipated using their Green Mountain Soapstone product and after the install noticed that the product was obviously flawed. An 8" strip looked fully seasoned and the rest was like chalk. That piece should have never been installed, but after a great deal of time they did replace all the counter top with brand new product. In the course of that they left a water line loose which nearly ruined the brand new base cabinet. I fixed that myself, but then noticed that the new counter top was installed with the sink out of level, and it was crudely caulked to make up the difference. At this point, they are unwilling to remove and reinstall the counter top to correct their mistake with the sink. (I confirmed the procedure in writing about how the sink was to be mounted prior to the original install, and it had been installed correctly the first time) They are so far unwilling to honor their one year guarantee on product and workmanship.
